Warming Up with Closed Syllables

In this lesson, reading specialist DeAngela Huggins at Burgess-Peterson Academy, Atlanta, GA works with her students so, with practice, they can easily identify closed syllables and from there, quickly determine that a vowel sound is short … putting them well on their way to reading multi-syllable words.
