Carla Miller, Ph.D.

Carla Miller has worked in the field of elementary education for over 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Education, an Educational Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education. She served as a Senior Instructional Designer & Writer for Reading Universe and as a Literacy Coach, supporting teachers in implementing effective literacy practices in the classroom. Carla also has experience as a reading specialist and classroom teacher, where she applied research-based literacy strategies to support struggling readers. A lifelong learner, Carla is passionate about ensuring that teachers have the knowledge and tools necessary to teach all students to learn to read.
