Continuant Sounds

Continuant Sounds - spoken sounds that can be elongated, extended, or stretched out, allowing for a continuous flow of air from the mouth. All vowel sounds are continuous. ‘S’, ‘m’, and ‘n’ are examples of continuous consonant sounds.
