Student Practice Activity: Phoneme Detective

Use this activity to provide students with practice in segmenting and blending phonemes. You’ll need to model the activity in whole group or at your small group table before you send students to centers for independent practice. This activity can be tweaked and used to practice all phonological awareness skills. We have included student recording sheets for you to monitor if students are practicing accurately and can provide feedback, and intervene if they’re not.
