Decodable — Mudge and the Fudge

Use this decodable text to give students practice in reading closed-syllable words with the trigraph '-dge'. For example, in the word fudge, the three letters 'd 'g' and 'e' form one grapheme that represents the /j/ sound. To skillfully read this text, students should already know how to read closed-syllable words with all vowel sounds.
