Timeline for Introducing Letters

There's no settled-on best sequence for introducing the letters. But experts agree teachers should use an order that helps students get to reading and spelling words quickly. This chart has a sample sequence that starts with 'a', 't', 'c', and 'd'. Teachers introduce two new letters per week.
