Segmenting Words Into Syllables Lesson Plan

Use this sample Reading Universe lesson plan for teaching syllables awareness with a gradual release approach, or I Do, We Do, You Do. In this lesson you’ll use the Quiet Yell and Stomp and Say teaching strategies to teach students how to segment syllables in a spoken word. It includes all of the support resources needed to put it into action in your classroom.
