Jenifer Rogers: You're going to tell your partner the first thing, a complete sentence, a good complete sentence, one thing you know about light, and then they're going to tell you one thing that they know about light. So I'm going to give you 10 seconds of think time. Think of that first thing you're going to tell your partner. From our reading right here, what is something that you know about light? Go ahead, turn to your elbow partner and tell them.
Student 1: The Sun is bright. It is so bright and it can burn your eyes.
Jenifer Rogers: Good. So the sun is a source of light? Yeah, the sun is a source of light.
Student 2: I already knew a sun was a natural source of light and I learned dogs can block light.
Jenifer Rogers: Can you see it?
Students: Yeah.
Jenifer Rogers: Yes. When you're at your seat, can you read that?
Students: Yeah.
Jenifer Rogers: Yeah, light is the title. So I'm going to rewrite Vaughn's good thinking there because Vaughn said, what was the beginning of Vaughn's sentence?
Students: I already knew.
Jenifer Rogers: I love that. She said, "I already ..." And I'll leave that word up there for you. "I already knew." And then you can tell me what you already knew. And then our second one, what are we going to say?
Students: I learned.
Jenifer Rogers: I learned. Very good. So I'm going to write that here. You have those two words. If you need help spelling those two words, where are you going to look?
Students: On the screen.
Jenifer Rogers: On the screen. The other words, if you need help spelling them, where are you going to look?
Students: Tap it out.
Jenifer Rogers: Yeah, on your tappers, that's right. And in your good, good brains. So show me high five position that you're ready. And you may go ahead and stand and go to your work.
