Assessing Your Students for Rhyming Awareness

Assessing rhyming skills can be done informally, since it's not necessary for students to master rhyming. (Rather, it is an important exercise that can be used to support mastery of onset-rime.)

Here's a short assessment for you to use to check your students' understanding of rhyming. It should take no longer than two to three minutes per child. Feel free to share our printable assessment with your colleagues.
